2026 corrections

2026-09-12 · USDT depeg evidence and dollar cross-rates

Page: Why USDT depegs

Old: The article dismissed historical reserve concerns, inferred a USDT dollar premium from a USDC/USDT quote, and described the June 2023 discount as confined to one pool. It also gave precise troughs and recovery times without a reproducible price dataset.

New: The historical account distinguishes regulatory findings, issuer statements and market observations. The cross-rate example now includes both units. Unsupported price and recovery figures, claimed API checks and the purported editorial portfolio were removed.

Reason: Review of the NYAG announcement, contemporary issuer statements, Kaiko market research and Federal Reserve staff research. Links and a real screenshot are included in the revised article.

2026-09-12 · English homepage timeline and comparison table

Page: English homepage

Old: Circle's IPO was dated June 2024; MiCA was described as fully applicable that month, with a February 2026 transition deadline. A table presented unsupported supply figures, price lows and safety ratings as current parameters.

New: Circle's IPO is dated June 2025. MiCA's stablecoin provisions apply from June 30, 2024 and its general application date is December 30, 2024; the maximum legacy-provider transition runs to July 1, 2026, subject to earlier deadlines. The table now identifies questions and evidence to inspect rather than quoting unverified figures.

Reason: Circle's second-quarter 2025 results and MiCA Articles 149 and 143, linked on the homepage. The Hong Kong ordinance commencement date was also corrected to August 1, 2025. This entry does not certify the accuracy of older reports linked from that page.

2026-05-19 · Binance USDT withdrawal fee description

Page: USDT vs USDC, the 2026 report

Old: "Binance USDT withdrawals are free on the BNB Chain network."

New: "Binance USDT withdrawal fees depend on the network you pick and are shown on the withdrawal page before you confirm (September 2026 reading: BNB Chain 0.01 USDT, TRC20 1.5 USDT)." (The earlier wording about a monthly free allowance was removed in 2026-09.)

Reason: The original line was a hangover from an older fee schedule. Confirmed against Binance fee page on 2026-05-19.

2026-05-17 · Tether 2026 Q1 reserve composition figure

Page: USDT vs USDC, the 2026 report

Change: A Tether cash-and-equivalents percentage taken from an earlier quarter's report was removed. The article now explains how to read Tether's and Circle's own reserve reports and compare their reporting dates, instead of quoting a single share.

2026-05-15 · MiCA delisting timing on EU exchanges

September 12 review: The historical entry below also misstated MiCA's application and transition dates. The September 12 homepage correction above gives the checked dates; a transition for service providers is not a universal token-delisting deadline.

Page: What is a stablecoin, in ten minutes

Old: "USDT was delisted across all EU exchanges in June 2024."

New: "Several EU-licensed venues began phasing USDT spot pairs out after MiCA fully entered into force in June 2024, but the broader EU delisting wave concluded in early 2026 as the transition window closed."

Reason: The original sentence overstated speed. MiCA had a transition window; full removal was not a single event. Verified against ESMA public statements and the Kraken / Binance EU communications timeline.

2026-05-12 · USDC SVB depeg low

Page: FAQ for new holders · Question 7

Change: A rounded USDC low for the SVB weekend was removed. The answer now describes the sequence — Circle's disclosed exposure to SVB, the depositor-protection announcement and the recovery — without quoting an intraday low.
