1 · Who is the data controller

The data controller is the StableDesk editorial desk operating vsccex.com. Contact for any privacy request: [email protected]. The desk responds within thirty days under GDPR, forty-five days under CCPA / CPRA and forty days under Hong Kong PDPO.

2 · What we collect when you visit

The following services process requests when you visit.

Hosting and delivery data. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; StableDesk has no server of its own and holds no access logs. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps and security signals. We do not set or promise a fixed retention period for Cloudflare's provider logs; its applicable privacy and data-processing terms govern that handling, including the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare inserts a small measurement script, served from static.cloudflareinsights.com, into each page. From it we see page-view counts, the sites that referred readers and page load times, all in aggregate. Cloudflare's published description says the script neither writes cookies nor uses localStorage, and that it does not pick out individual readers from their IP address or browser. Readers who block scripts with a privacy extension will not be measured by this tool or by GA4.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The site loads a single GA4 measurement tag. GA4 records page paths, browser, device class, country, session duration and interaction events. Account-guide events count guide entry clicks, referral link clicks and use of referral-code copy controls, with the page language and entry position. A copy event does not always confirm a successful clipboard write. The copy feature does not read your clipboard or collect registration forms, identity documents, email, name or telephone number. GA4 also applies its own processing and retention settings.

3 · What we do not collect

• No name, email, phone, address or other identifier from passive readers.
• No payment data, no card information, no bank details. The site never asks for them.
• No third-party advertising trackers. The site does not load AdSense, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Twitter conversion tags, programmatic ad networks or behavioural-ad pixels.
• No social plugins that fingerprint logged-in users.

4 · Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies set by the site:

• _ga / _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 measurement (anonymous client identifier). Google sets how long these last under its own policy.

Nothing else. No marketing or advertising cookies. Browsers configured to refuse cookies can still read every article.

5 · When you email the desk

If you email [email protected] with a correction, a question or a press enquiry, we keep that message for as long as the conversation thread is active plus twelve months. The email address, subject and body content are retained in the editorial inbox; nothing is exported to third parties. Delete-on-request is honoured.

6 · External processors

The site uses the following service providers:

• Google Analytics 4 for site analytics, subject to Google's applicable privacy and data-processing terms.
• Google Fonts supplies fonts on pages that load them from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives the font request and connection information, including your IP address; this request does not carry calculator inputs.
• Cloudflare for Cloudflare Pages hosting, content delivery, security and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare may process technical request data needed to provide those services.

We do not sell reader data or disclose it to advertising networks or data brokers for their own advertising purposes.

7 · Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you may request: access to your data, correction, erasure, portability, restriction or objection to processing. Under CCPA / CPRA (California) you may request: the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of "sale" (we do not sell data, but the right exists). Under the Hong Kong PDPO you may request: access and correction.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address you want a record on, and we will respond within the statutory window for your jurisdiction.

8 · International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process data in countries other than your own. The relevant processing locations, transfer mechanisms and safeguards are described in each provider's applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

9 · Children

The site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect any data from a person under 16 (or under the equivalent local age of digital consent). If you believe a minor has provided personal data through an email, contact us and we will delete it.

10 · Changes to this policy

Material updates are noted on the corrections page with the date and a short summary. The version of the policy you read is dated at the foot of this page.
